Corazón Cacao
Cacao from Indígenas Seynekun. Spiritual, energetic, and intense notes. 100% organic.
Corazón de Cacao – Pueblo Bello, Sierra Nevada, Colombia
In the sacred mountains of the Sierra Nevada, the Indígenas Seynekun family cultivates their Trinitario cacao. On the fertile soils around Pueblo Bello, organically certified and carefully fermented, emerges a bean that has symbolized connection and spirituality for centuries. In our own version of the SCA cupping score for coffee, this cacao achieves an exceptional 88.1. As a snack, it shines with freshness and bite, but ground and prepared as xocolatl – the ceremonial drink of the Maya and Aztecs – it reveals intense fruity notes.
Transport
Just like the coffees from Mildred Daza and Ascafé, this cocoa was also brought to Europe by sailing ship.
Usage tip
– Eat dry as a superfood snack
– Grind as the ultimate substitute for cocoa powder
– Prepare as Xocolatl for meditation or the ultimate hot chocolate moment!
